Ringo Starr has shot down rumors that the Beatles sons may form a super group. Paul McCartney's son James sparked off the rumors earlier this year when he said that he'd been in contact with the other Beatle's sons and they were all keen to form a new group.

Speaking with NME.com earlier this year, James explained that Ringo's son Zak was likely out but the rest of the Beatle's sons, Sean Lennon, Dhani Harrison and Jason Starkey were interested.

"I don't think it's something that Zak wants to do. Maybe Jason [drummer and one of Starr's other sons] would want to do it. I'd be up for it. Sean seemed to be into it, Dhani seemed to be into it. I'd be happy to do it," James revealed.

Ringo has since shot down the idea, however, saying that neither of his sons are interested: "Both my sons tell me they are not going to do it," Ringo said, according to various sources.
