UnitedHealth Issues Statement On Supreme Court Affordable Care Act Ruling

UnitedHealth Group (UNH: Quote) Thursday issued a statement in response to the U.S Supreme Court ruling to uphold the Patient Protection and Affordable Care Act, also known as the federal health care reform law.

UnitedHealth said in a statement, "Health care modernization did not begin and must not end with the enactment of the Patient Protection and Affordable Care Act. UnitedHealth Group strongly supports making high-quality health care accessible and affordable for everyone. Now is the time to apply proven ideas and best practices to build a better health care system."

U.K. consumer price inflation slowed more-than-expected to a seven-month low in April on falling petrol and air fares, official data revealed Tuesday. The slowdown provides relief for consumers as it raises purchasing power, while it gives more scope for the central bank to ease monetary policy.
