The Japanese yen extended early weakness against most major currencies ahead of European deals on Friday.
The yen fell to a 1-week low of 81.04 against the aussie and a 4-day low of 63.47 against the kiwi.
Against the pound, the yen fell to a 2-day low of 124.33, compared to an early Asian session's 2-week high of 122.92.
The yen that rose to a 9-day high of 79.15 against the greenback earlier is now trading at 79.44.
Also, the yen declined to as low as 77.69 against the loonie.
