Three astronauts, including China's first woman to have a space journey, returned to earth on Friday morning after successfully completing the Communist nation's first manned space docking.
The return capsule of Shenzhou-9 spacecraft touched down in north China's Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region as planned, China's state media reported.
Medical staff entered the capsule and certified that the astronauts were in good conditions.
Shenzhou-9 commander Jing Haipeng was the first to come out of the return capsule, followed by Liu Wang and the 30-year-old woman astronaut Liu Yang.
The trio will fly to Beijing after taking physical examinations in ambulance helicopters at the landing site.
Chinese leaders including Premier Wen Jiabao, were present at the Beijing Aerospace Flight Control Center to watch the return of Shenzhou-9.
