Extending its early gains, the euro climbed against other major currencies in early New York deals on Friday.
The euro strengthened to a new 1-month high of 1.2040 against the franc, 4-day high of 100.78 against the yen, 9-day high of 0.8097 against the pound and an 8-day high of 1.2691 against the greenback.
