Doris Singleton, who played the role of neighbor to Lucy and Ricky Ricardo on "I Love Lucy," has died at the age of 92. No cause of death was revealed but Lucie Arnaz, daughter to Lucille Ball and Desi Arnaz, writing on her Facebook page, said "[She was] loved and appreciated and will be missed."

She got her start performing with the American Ballet Theater in her teens, and started in showbiz as a vocalist with Art Jarrett's orchestra in the late 1930s.

Singleton, a New York City native, starred in a host of classic television programs including "The Great Gildersleeve," "Hogan's Heroes," "My Three Sons," "Hazel," "The Munsters," "The Dick Van Dyke Show," "Gomer Pyle," "U.S.M.C.," "The Fugitive," "The F.B.I.," "Marcus Welby, M.D.," "Phyllis," "Days of Our Lives" and "Dynasty."
