Jov Leon Frazer Preferred Equity (JOV.TO: Quote) Friday announced a higher profit for the fourth quarter, helped mainly by lower operating expenses, despite weak revenues.
The Toronto, Ontario-based company's fourth-quarter net profit was C$4.67 million or C$0.54 per share, compared to C$1.03 million or C$0.10 per share last year.
Total revenues for the quarter plunged to C$14.14 million from C$26.64 million in the prior-year quarter.
For the quarter, total operating expenses decreased to C$7.07 million from C$21.84 million last year.
