Cee Lo Green has signed on for the new music-based romantic drama film Can A Song Save Your Life?
The singer will be joining his fellow judge from The Voice, Maroon 5's Adam Levine, who has already agreed to take part in the John Carney-written and directed film. Carney is known for his 2006 musical drama Once.
Green will be playing a hip-hop artist in the movie, while Levine will be playing the boyfriend of Keira Knightley's character. Other actors in the film include Mark Ruffalo, Hailee Steinfeld and Catherine Keener.
Cee Lo will also be making an acting appearance in the forthcoming film Sparkle, which stars Jordin Sparks and Whitney Houston, and will voice Murray the Mummy in the upcoming animated movie Hotel Transylvania.
