The Indian rupee eased against the U.S. dollar in early deals on Monday. The rupee is now worth 55.7350 per dollar, compared to an 11-day high of 55.4350 hit on Friday. If the rupee weakens further, it may likely target the 56 level.
India's trade data for May is due for release at 1:30 am ET.
