Adele has confirmed that she is expecting her first child with boyfriend Simon Konecki. The 24-year-old singer broke the news on her official website and requested that fans and media members give them some space to enjoy the start of their family.
"I'm delighted to announce that Simon and I are expecting our first child together," she wrote on her website. "I wanted you to hear the news direct from me, obviously we're over the moon and very excited but please respect our privacy at this precious time."
The pair have been dating since at least January when they were pictured together walking in London. Adele has previously denied rumors that she and Konecki, a divorced father, are engaged but did admit that she hoped for a baby one day:
"I really want to be a mum," she told People.com, adding that she hoped to have three sons by the age of 30. "I better start getting on with it!" she added.
