Apple Inc. (AAPL) announced Monday that it paid $60 million to settle a dispute over the iPad trademark in China, thus ending the 2-year long dispute with the nearly-bankrupt Proview Technology.
Apple rose during the first hour of trade Monday, but settled into a range for the remainder of the session. The stock closed up by 8.52 at $592.52 and set a 2-month high.
