Genstar Capital Completes Acquisition Of EResearchTechnology - Quick Facts

eResearchTechnology Inc. (ERT: Quote) announced that Genstar Capital, LLC, has completed its acquisition of the company in a take-private transaction valued at approximately $400 million.

In April 2012, eResearchTechnology said it has entered into a definitive agreement to be acquired by affiliates of Genstar Capital LLC for $8.00 per share in cash in a transaction valued at around $400 million.

U.S. Durable Goods Orders Rise 3.3% In April, More Than Expected

After reporting a sharp drop in new orders for manufactured durable goods in the previous month, the Commerce Department released a report on Friday showing that durable goods orders rebounded by more than anticipated in the month of April. The report said durable goods orders surged up by 3.3 percent in April after tumbling by a revised 5.9 percent in March.
