RealNetworks CEO Thomas Nielsen Resigns, Rob Glaser Named Interim CEO

RealNetworks Inc. (RNWK: Quote) Tuesday said Chief Executive and President Thomas Nielsen has resigned. The company has appointed RealNetworks Chairman and Founder Rob Glaser as Interim CEO, effective immediately.

"I come back to RealNetworks with a sense of great urgency to set the company on a long-term path to success," said Glaser. Glaser indicated that he is not a candidate for the permanent CEO position.

"The board and Thomas mutually agreed that the CEO position wasn't the right fit," Glaser added. "We thank Thomas for the contributions he has made in moving RealNetworks forward and wish him well in his new endeavors."

The report said durable goods orders surged up by 3.3 percent in April after tumbling by a revised 5.9 percent in March.

Mailbox Now Comes To IPad

The popular e-mail management app Mailbox, developed by Orchestra Inc., has been updated to be compatible with Apple's iPad. Orchestra disclosed the news of the update through its official blog. "You asked, we listened. Mailbox is now available for iPad, so you can swipe your way to inbox zero on all your iOS devices," Orchestra's brief blog read.
