James Hetfield of Metallica has partnered with Sutro Eyewear to create the JH Sutro sunglasses. Hetfield explains on the band's website that they are the "ideal pair of sunglasses."
"(They're) built to look faster than a speeding riff and to handle the life of a road dog like me," Hetfield adds.
Designer Jeff Sand told Blabbermouth.net that "James was very particular in what he was looking for and he just wasn't finding it out there, so we sat down and after extensive prototyping we put his vision into this frame."
Fans can expect to pay about $220 for the custom designed heavy duty eyewear. They are available in black or tortoise and can be purchased via the band's merchandise page.
