A new documentary about the life and work of famed Beatles producer George Martin is set for release to DVD on September 11. The film, Produced by George Martin, details his work with the Fab Four and includes interview with Paul McCartney, Ringo Starr, Monty Python's Michael Palin and Jeff Beck.
Martin signed the Beatles to his record label Parlaphone in 1962 and produced all but one of their legendary albums. His work with the group has earned him the nickname of the "fifth Beatle" among many fans. After the band's split he went on to produce the likes of Beck, Cheap Trick and America.
The original documentary is 90 minutes and the DVD/Blu-ray release includes an additional 50 minutes of bonus material including interviews with Rick Rubin, T-Bone Burnett and Jimmy Webb.
