Aegis Group Acquires Six Subsidiary Companies - Quick Facts

Aegis Group plc (AGS.L) said it acquired six subsidiary companies owned by W Garden, Verbal Clint, Allin and others. The integration of W Garden with iProspect France's existing business is expected to be completed early in the third quarter of 2012.

W Garden is a provider of search and performance marketing solutions, consultancy and software tools, with a particular focus on search engine optimisation. In aggregate, the entities had gross assets of €5.0 million as at 31 December 2011.

The acquisition will establish iProspect as one of the leading search and performance marketing specialists in France, according to Aegis Group. This acquisition is in line with the Aegis Group strategy of increasing its digital profile and capability and by acquiring businesses which provide scale and innovation as well as geographic and product in-fill.

Red Hat Inc., the world's largest seller of Linux software, said Wednesday after the markets closed that its first quarter profit rose 8% from last year, as revenue increased 15% amid strong consumer demand. The company's quarterly earnings per share, excluding items, also came in above analysts' expectations as did its quarterly revenue.
