Iron Maiden's Adrian Smith has revealed plans to dust off an instrumental album he began recording nearly ten years ago. The guitarist spoke on the album with interviewer Mitch Lafon and says that the recording could now see the light of day.
According to Smith, the album was an instrumental collaboration with a keyboard player; he adds that although the project was satisfying creatively, it was a lesser priority than Maiden or his current side project Primal Rock Rebellion.
That band was formed with SikTh singer Mikee Goodman. Smith also revealed that they have finished an album:
"It has a life of its own," Smith said of the project. "I ended up writing with [Goodman], but I didn't know that it was going to turn into an album. If anything, it was more his solo album to start with me producing and writing, but then it became more of a joint project."
