Lynyrd Skynyrd Release New Single 'Last Of A Dyin' Breed'

Lynyrd Skynyrd have released, "Last of a Dyin' Breed," the lead single and title track from the band's forthcoming studio effort, for digital download.

"I hear that highway calling / Oh, feel the breeze / I've been a ramblin' and a gamblin' Lord I'm free / Saddle up baby ride up close to me / An open highway is all I'll ever need / Last of dyin' breed," Johnny van Zant sings during the chorus.

The new LP, which is due August 21, reunites the band with producer Bob Marlette, and is the debut of new bassist Johnny Colt (Black Crowes, Train).

Skynyrd began a North American tour on Friday, July 6 in Kahnawake, Canada and finishes it with an October 6 concert in Saratoga, California. The Southern rockers will launch the 2012 edition of their Simple Man Cruise in Miami on October 27.
