Art Garfunkel is prepping the release of his two-CD, 34-track retrospective, The Singer, which hits shelves on August 28.
The tracks, which were hand-picked by Garfunkel, were culled from over 30 years of songwriting — from Simon & Garfunkel's 1964 debut album Wednesday Morning, 3 AM, up to his 2007 standards album Some Enchanted Evening.
In addition to six songs he recorded during Simon and Garfunkel's original run, the compilation features their reunion singles, 1975's "My Little Town," 1978's "What a Wonderful World" (which also features James Taylor) and "Kathy's Song," from 2004's Old Friends: Live on Stage.
The set also features two previously unreleased tracks — "Lena" and "Long Way Home."
