Nickelodeon has ordered a second season of the animated adventure series, "The Legend of Korra," according to Entertainment Weekly.
The program averaged 3.8 million viewers during its inaugural season, prompting the sequel to the first book of the series to get an order of 26 episodes.
The series, from "Avatar: the Last Airbender" creators Michael DiMartino and Bryan Konietzko, takes place 70 years after the events of "The Last Airbender" and follows the adventures of the Avatar after Aang - a passionate, rebellious, and fearless teenaged girl from the Southern Water Tribe named Korra, the 17-year-old chosen one.
The series is voiced by Janet Varney, Kiernan Shipka, Daniel Dae Kim, David Faustino, Seychelle Gabriel, Lance Henriksen, P.J. Byrne and J.K. Simmons.
