Synageva BioPharma Closes $115 Mln Stock Offering

Synageva BioPharma Corp. (GEVA: Quote) said Friday that it has closed a $115 million underwritten public offering of 2,792,200 shares of common stock, including 364,200 shares of common stock which were issued pursuant to the exercise of the underwriters' over-allotment option, at a price of $41.20 per share.

Morgan Stanley and J.P. Morgan acted as joint book-running managers in the offering, and Cowen and Company, Leerink Swann, Canaccord Genuity Inc. and Wedbush PacGrow Life Sciences acted as co-managers in the offering.

After showing a substantial recovery over the course of the previous session, stocks are likely to come under pressure in early trading on Friday.
