Joss Stone returns to the scene on July 31 when she releases her new album The Soul Sessions Volume 2, a sequel to her 2003 album featuring covers of songs by everyone from the Chi-Lites to Broken Bells.
"I didn't really know what I was doing, so here I am now ten years later doing The Soul Sessions and it was completely different," Stone told Rolling Stone. "Now, I'm kind of a little bit more spontaneous. I like to get everyone together and we just basically have a jam, and have a little laugh, play some music. The first one, I turned up and I sang as well as I could, which really wasn't that well at that point!"
In addition to the Chi-Lites and Broken Bells, Soul Sessions Volume 2 features covers of the Rolling Stones, Womack and Womack, and more.
