Sycamore Partners Says Will Extend Offer To Buy Talbots - Quick Facts

Sycamore Partners announced that its affiliate TLB Merger Sub Inc. has extended the expiration of its tender offer to acquire all of the outstanding shares of common stock, and the associated stock purchase rights, of The Talbots, Inc. (TLB: Quote) for $2.75 per share, net to the seller in cash, without interest, and less any applicable withholding taxes, to 5:00 p.m., New York City time, on July 27, 2012, unless further extended.

The depository for the tender offer has advised that as of Midnight, New York City time, on July 13, 2012, 49.88 million shares of its common stock had been tendered and not withdrawn pursuant to the offer.
