Sylvester Stallone's son Sage was found dead at the age of 36 in his home in Los Angeles on Friday. Thus far there is no official word on the cause of Sage's death, but TMZ.com reports that authorities on the scene did collect several bottles of prescription medication.
The "Rocky" actor spoke with TMZ.com about his son's death and requested that they and other media outlets please respect their privacy:
"When a parent loses a child there is no greater pain," Stallone told TMZ in a statement. "Therefore I am imploring people to respect my talented son's memory and feel compassion for his loving mother Sasha."
He adds: "This agonizing loss will be felt for the rest of our lives. Sage was our first child and the center of our universe and I am humbly begging for all to have my son's memory and soul left in peace."
