Elton John is considering quitting music, telling the BBC that he has contemplated leaving the business behind in order to raise his 19-month-old son Zachary:

"I'm going to keep working. When Zachary goes to school, that's another different thing. I want to take him to school and I want to pick him up. I don't want to miss that part of his childhood."

As for a return to music should he decide to quit? Don't bet on it:

"I'd love to have more children. I want Zachary to have a brother or a sister to go to school with him, and so that he can have someone to play with," Elton added.

He's expressed fears in the past regarding Zachary's peers vilifying him as he gets older for his unconventional family, noting that he feels a certain amount of guilt over the fact that Zachary will grow up without a mother.
