Bill Asher, director behind TV classics "I Love Lucy" and "Bewitched," passed at the age of 90 of complications from Alzheimer's disease, according to his wife Meredith.

Most notably, Asher worked on "I Love Lucy," where he directed Lucille Ball and Desi Arnaz for 100 of the show's 181 episodes between 1952 and 1957. He was nominated for a DGA Award for the episode "Lucy's Mother-in-Law."

He also directed episodes of other series including "Gidget," "The Thin Man," "Willy," "The Dinah Shore Show," "The Jimmy Durante Show," "The Danny Thomas Show," and "Alice and Crazy."

He was nominated for four Emmys for directing and producing "Bewitched," winning once for directing.

A memorial service is set for September 29 at Desert Springs Church in Palm Desert, the Sun reported.
