Alexa Vega, former star of "Spy Kids," has filed for divorce from husband Sean Covel (producer of "Napoleon Dynamite") after less than two years of marriage. Irreconcilable differences are blamed for the separation.
Vega, 23, and Covel, 36, were married in October 2010. The actress listed their separation date as March 5, 2012, according to the report from gossip site TMZ.
"We come to love not by finding a perfect person, but by learning to see an imperfect person perfectly," the actress tweeted somewhat cryptically on Monday (July 17).
In the meantime, Vega's representative has not responded to a request for comment.
She most recently reprised her role as a much older Carmen Cortez in last year's "Spy Kids: All The Time In the World 4D."
