Carolina Trust Bank (CART) reported second-quarter net income attributable to common shareholders of $0.3 million or $0.07 per share, compared to the net loss of $0.8 million or $0.17 per share in the same quarter last year.
Interest income for the latest quarter rose to $2.6 million from $2.2 million in the year-ago comparable quarter, Non-interest income rose to $0.3 million from last year's $0.2 million.
Net interest margin for the quarter was 3.99 percent, compared to 3.38 percent in the year-ago quarter.
Provision for loan loss for the quarter decreased to $0.5 million from $1.2 million last year.
