VF Corp. (VFC) reported second quarter adjusted EPS of $1.11 Thursday morning, down from $1.17 in the prior year period. The consensus estimate was for EPS of $0.94. Full year 2012 adjusted EPS is now expected to be approximately $9.50, up from previous expectations of $9.45.
VF Corp. gapped open higher Thursday and climbed sharply in the first hour of trade, before settling into a range. The stock closed up by 10.61 at $152.42, with volume at a 7-month high. VF Corp. rose to a 2 1/2 month high and is approaching the highs of the year, around $156.00 per share.
