At 4.30 am ET Friday, the Office for National Statistics is set to publish U.K. public finances data for June. Ahead of the data, the pound slipped against other major currencies.
At 4:25 am ET, the pound was worth 1.5699 against the greenback, 123.40 against the yen, 0.7818 against the euro and 1.5372 against the franc.
