Costs of wages in Iceland increased at a slower pace in June, data released by Statistics Iceland showed Friday.
The wage cost index advanced 6.9 percent on an annual basis in June, notably weaker than the 11 percent growth seen in May. In April, the rate of growth was 11.9 percent.
Month-on-month, the index remained broadly unchanged in June, after edging up 0.4 percent in May.
In the six months ended June, wages costs climbed 7.3 percent from the corresponding period a year earlier, data showed.
