Acme United Corp. (ACU: Quote) Thursday reported second-quarter net income of $2.06 million or $0.66 per share, compared to $1.74 million or $0.56 per share in the comparable period last year.

Net sales for the second quarter grew 15 percent to $27.6 million from $24.0 million in the comparable period last year.

Gross margins for the quarter remained stable at 36 percent compared to last year.
