Warwick Valley Telephone Company (WWVY), referred to as WVT Communications Group, said Friday that it has named its Chief Operating Officer David Cuthbert as President. The company noted that Cuthbert will continue to serve as the COO.
Previously the company's Chief Executive Officer Duane Albro held the position of president too. But the management decided to separate the two roles to allow Albro to focus on driving the strategic direction of the overall business.
Cuthbert joined Alteva, LLC, in 2006 as the Director of Operations and in August 2010 rose to the position of President and CEO. Alteve was acquired by WVT Communications last year
WVT Communications said that Cuthbert will continue to serve on the company's Board of Directors.
