Alicia Keys has debuted her new summer doo in a series of Twitter pics. The R&B songstress posted several shots of her shortened locks, including one photo of the discarded hair on her floor.
"Look what I done did!!;-))) its an #aknewday in EVERY way!!!!" she wrote on Twitter with with her husband Swizz Beatz adding, "My baby done cut it all off :) New Day 4 real amazing !!!!"
Earlier this month, Keys released the first track, "New Day," from her upcoming fifth album, due later this year.
The 31-year-old singer has been working on the follow-up to The Element Of Freedom for the past eight months. She says the album was inspired in part by her becoming a mother to her son Egypt.
"I've come to this place that the album is about to be ready and I feel just so crazy excited," she said. "It's like I'm a different person. I'm a new person. Everything is new."
