Keller Group plc (KLR.L) was granted a contract worth about $41 million or 26 million pounds to construct piles for a transmission line project in New Jersey. Two Keller Group companies, Case Foundation and McKinney Drilling, would install drilled shaft foundations for new monopole towers to replace the old lattice towers.
The Group added that this critical line can only be taken out of service for brief intervals and, to minimise the outage, the foundations would be installed beneath the existing transmission wires, for which its equipment has been specially configured. Nearly two thirds of the company's work is anticipated to close this year.
