Producers of the show "Fringe" are apparently shocked that leading man John Noble was left off the Best Actor nominees list for the upcoming Emmy Awards. Speaking at the Television Critics Association Press Tour, producer J.H. Wyman said he "can't comprehend" how Noble was excluded.

"We feel probably like a lot of you guys. I can't comprehend it . . . If it's an issue because this is a science fiction show, I really don't know. I'm trying to believe the cream will always rise to the top. I have to believe that," Wyman added.

The leading men who earned Emmy nods this time include Hugh Bonneville ("Downton Abbey"), Steve Buscemi ("Boardwalk Empire"), Bryan Cranston ("Breaking Bad"), Jon Hamm ("Mad Men"), Damian Lewis ("Homeland"), and Michael C. Hall ("Dexter").
