Kelly Clarkson has weighed in on the vacancies left in the judges seats on American Idol and says her fellow alum Carrie Underwood is a perfect choice. Speaking with Us Weekly, Kelly said Carrie has the ideal demeanor for the job:
"She would [be the perfect judge]," Clarkson says. "Didn't she major in journalism or something? And she can have that face . . . that bluff face! She can put that on! She would be good."
When asked about throwing her own hat into the ring, Kelly says she'd return to the show, but not as a judge:
"[Being a] mentor is more my style," Clarkson explains. "And not just mentoring, getting to be a part of the song with them, getting them amped up — from our rehearsals to stage, it's so exciting being onstage. It's fun!"
