Nicki Minaj has been added to the Today Toyota Summer Concert Series. The "Starship" singer will perform a free show for the daytime television concert series in front of her hometown fans on August 14.
The Today concert series has been going strong since the start of summer featuring performances from Chris Brown, Usher, Pitbull, Flo Rida, and others. The concert series will take a brief break while NBC dedicates all of its attention to the Summer Olympics in London. As soon as the Olympics are over though the series will pick back up with a full week of shows, which is when Minaj will make her appearance.
Also scheduled to appear that week on the concert series are the Fray, Carrie Underwood, Lionel Richie, and 98 Degrees, who will be re-uniting for their first TV appearance in a decade.
Access to concerts is available on a first-come, first-served basis outside of Today's studio at 49th Street and Rockefeller Center.
