Former Eagles guitarist Don Felder, who performed with the band from 1974 to 2001, will release a new solo album, Road to Forever, on October 9.

Road to Forever marks the first time Felder has released a solo record since his 1983 debut. It will feature a battery of guest appearances, including David Crosby, Graham Nash and Stephen Stills of Crosby, Stills & Nash, Steve Lukather, David Paich and Steve Porcaro of Toto, Randy Jackson, Tommy Shaw and others.

"I was inspired to write out the stories of my life as songs," Felder told CMT after leaving the Eagles after 29 years. "After I collected myself, I found I needed to go out and play music again, and that's how I began recording the album. In the process, I found out who I really am. I had to find out what happened when I almost lost it all."
