When it comes to playing music, Metallica's Lars Ulrich is known for playing drums. What he is not known for is his trombone playing skills, which he displays in a new Youtube video while playing with New Orleans brass ensemble the Soul Rebels.

The video was shot in December of 2011 during rehearsals for Metallica's week of 30th anniversary concerts at the Fillmore in San Francisco, according to Blabbermouth. The Soul Rebels opened all of those gigs and joined Metallica onstage every night.

Ulrich can be seen laughing at his attempt at a new instrument as he consistently fails to produce a note. When he finally does make a small sound, the drummer exclaims, "I gotta go lay down now!" After a second, slightly better attempt Ulrich quips, "By Sunday . . . can you guys find me a spot in your setup there?"
