Dierks Bentley has confirmed that he will release a new country and bluegrass EP titled Country & Cold Cans next month. Speaking with theboot.com, the Up on the Ridge hitmaker explained that the project was born entirely out of his love for the music.
"Sometimes that should be the driving force in your decisions, you know?" Bentley said. "It doesn't always have to be a business decision or well-thought-out plan. Just go out there, have fun, do it with some friends and put out some new tunes."
The release will initially be digital only, hitting iTunes on August 21. Dierks adds that he hopes the album will attract fans out there who may be curious about country but haven't taken the plunge:
"It's called Country & Cold Cans," Bentley said with a laugh. "It's not called Beethoven."
