Larry Hoppen, co-founder of 1970s rockers Orleans, died last week. Hoppen lent his voice to the band's biggest hit single, "Still the One," which appeared on the group's 1976 release Walking and Dreaming.
Hoppen's wife Patricia broke the news on his official Facebook page.
"For those who don't already know, Larry passed away yesterday," she posted. "For his fans, I am deeply sorry for YOUR loss. I know he will be missed. I will [ask] that my family's privacy be respected during this horrible time."
Thus far, there has been no word on the official cause of death. Hoppen had been a member of Orleans throughout the band's tenure together and contributed to its last album, 2008's Obscurities.
He also released two solo albums HandMade and Looking for the Light.
