Malta's producer prices decreased at a slower pace in June, data released by the National Statistics Office showed Monday.
The producer price index decreased 4.1 percent on an annual basis in June, slower than the 4.9 percent fall seen in May. Prices have been falling regularly since October 2011.
The latest decrease was driven by an 8.1 percent fall in intermediate goods prices. Consumer goods prices advanced 1.7 percent annually, and capital goods prices moved up by 0.8 percent.
Output prices of goods meant for the domestic market were higher by 0.6 percent during the month. Prices in the overseas market, meanwhile, fell by 7.1 percent.
Month-on-month, producer prices moved up 0.8 percent in June, unchanged from the rate of growth seen in May, data showed.
