Florence and the Machine will reportedly join Calvin Harris on his upcoming single "Sweet Nothings." Harris broke the news in a recent interview with Q magazine.
The Scottish DJ is expected to release the effort in the coming months. Meanwhile, Harris has released his latest track, "We'll Be Coming Back," in the U.K. It features British singer/rapper Example.
The news of the collaboration comes close on the heels of scary news for fans of Florence Welch, frontwoman for Florence and the Machine. The band had to pull out of a scheduled performance at the Benicassim Festival in Spain on July 12. Reps for Welch announced that the cancellation was due to "acute vocal strain causing swelling of the vocal cords."
The Q interview also saw Harris discussing his hit single "We Found Love," which features Rihanna. He tells the magazine that she was actually the third artist he asked to appear on the track.
