SAFRAN Reports Strong Growth In H1 Revenue And Operating Income - Quick Facts

SAFRAN Tuesday released the financial results for the first half ended 30 June 2012, reporting a strong growth in adjusted operating profit and operating revenue for the period in comparison with the corresponding period last year.

The leading international high-technology group with three core businesses - Aerospace, Defense and Security, reported adjusted revenue for the first half of 2012 of 6.41 billion Euros, 14.1 percent higher than adjusted revenue of 5.622 billion Euros reported for the corresponding period last year.

Profit from operations for the first half of 2012 increased 23 percent to 662 million Euros from 540 million Euros reported for the same period last year.

Earnings per share for the half-year period increased to 0.99 Euros from 0.79 Euros per share reported for the year-ago period.

Looking ahead for the full year 2012, SAFRAN expects to report Revenue to increase in the low 2-digit, while recurring operating income for the full year is projected to increase by 20 percent over the previous tear, assuming a hedge rate of USD 1.32 per Euro.
