DreamWorks Animation SKG Inc. (DWA: Quote), the maker of 'Shrek' and 'Kung Fu Panda' film series, is expected to report results for the second quarter. The company is expected to earn $0.25 per share on revenues of $186.15 million. In the year-ago quarter, the company reported earnings of $0.40 per share on revenues of $218.26 million. Video-game publisher Take-Two Interactive Software Inc. (TTWO: Quote) is due to post first-quarter results. The company is expected to report a loss of $0.65 per share compared to the profit of $0.02 per share last year, on revenues of $253.95 million. Shares of TTWO closed Monday's trade at $9.13. Entergy Corp. (ETR: Quote) is scheduled to report second-quarter results. The integrated energy company is expected to report earnings of $1.66 per share compared to $1.76 per share last year. Also, the company is anticipated to generate revenues of $2.70 billion versus $2.80 billion in the prior-year quarter. The company's shares closed Monday's session at $73.06. (The stock rose almost 2% in Q2; MA(50)- $67.42; MA(100)- $66.78; 52-wk H/L $74.00/$57.60)

Peet's Coffee & Tea, Inc. (PEET: Quote) is slated to report results for the second quarter. The Emeryville, California-based specialty coffee and tea company is expected to record a profit of $0.33 per share versus $0.38 per share last year, with revenues estimated at $97.24 million. The stock closed Monday at $75.50. (The stock down about 19% in Q2; MA(50)- $60.69; MA(100)- $65.55; 52-wk H/L $77.60/$51.16)

Home and auto insurer Allstate Corp. (ALL: Quote) is expected to post second-quarter results. The company is expected to report earnings of $0.51 per share on revenues of $6.82 billion. A year earlier, loss and revenue were $1.23 per share and $6.61 billion respectively. The stock closed Monday's regular trading at $34.76. (The stock up about 7% in Q2; MA(50)- $34.04; MA(100)- $33.54; 52-wk H/L $35.42/$22.27)

Pfizer Inc. (PFE: Quote) will report second-quarter results today. The pharmaceutical giant is expected to post earnings of $0.54 per share versus $0.60 per share last year, while quarterly revenues are anticipated to decline to $14.87 billion from last year's $16.99 billion. The company's shares closed Monday's session at $23.71. (The stock gained nearly 3% in Q2; MA(50)- $22.64; MA(100)- $22.47; 52-wk H/L $23.94/$16.63)

After moving sharply lower at the open, stocks have regained some ground over the course of morning trading on Thursday. The major averages have climbed well off their worst levels of the day but remain stuck in the red. In another upbeat sign for the U.S. housing market, the Commerce Department released a report on Thursday showing that new home sales came in well above economist estimates in the month of April.
