Legendary crooner Tony Martin passed away at his home in West Los Angeles at the age of 98 on Friday. Martin was known not only for his signature song "All That You Are" but also his appearance in numerous classic films including MGM's 1941 release "Ziegfeld Girl," starring Judy Garland, Hedy Lamarr and Lana Turner.

Martin was a regular in smaller roles on the silver screen and also became a well respected live act rubbing shoulders with the likes of Bing Crosby and Russ Columbo. He and his wife, dancer Cyd Charisse, also developed a beloved live show. They were married until Cyd's death in 2008.

That year at the age of 84, Martin gave a series of performances at Feinstein's at the Loews Regency in New York. Reviewer Stephen Holden of the New York Times said he hadn't missed a beat:

"Mr. Martin, now 84, came out and sang a beautifully nuanced, pitch-perfect 'All the Things You Are.' The voice, with its virile overtones, seemed only to have grown richer over the years, and the audience response was rhapsodic."
