Excluding items, non-GAAP net income for the quarter was $37.4 million or $0.08 per share, compared to $124.3 million or $0.26 per share last year.
On average, 13 analysts polled by Thomson Reuters expected the company to earn $0.04 per share for the quarter. Analysts' estimates typically exclude special items.
Net revenues for the latest quarter declined 23 percent to $368.2 million from $478.6 million last year. Fifteen analysts had a consensus revenue estimate of $372.12 million for the quarter.
