Drake and Rihanna are leading the field of the MTV Video Music Awards with five apiece. The two-time collaborators are nominated in four categories together (Video of the Year, Best Male Video, Best Art Direction and Best Cinematography) for Drizzy's track "Take Care," which features Riri.

Outside of those noms, Drake was recognized for Best Hip-Hop Video ("HYFR" featuring Lil Wayne).

Riri's nods for "Take Care" do not count her five nominations total, which were Video of the Year, Best Female Video, Best Pop Video ("We Found Love"), Best Choreography ("Where Have You Been") and Best Visual Effects for that same vid.

The MTV VMA's take over the Staples Center in Los Angeles for the live show on Thursday, September 6 at 8 PM EST.
