KISS have unveiled the cover art for their latest album, Monster, which features the foursome in their updated makeup, posing in front of their signature name logo. The band teased the cover bit by bit through a promotional Monster Hunt Facebook app.
"The band is more focused than ever," Gene Simmons told Rolling Stone. "The weather looks great for the band - reinvigorated, redefined, refocused and reborn."
"If you like guitars and drums, this is right up your alley," he adds. "Which is better than right up your a**. It's relentless til the end. We're not doing thrash. We're not doing any of that stuff. It's straight meat and potatoes. No messing around. And no ballads, no string choirs, no little boys doing a cappella, no eunuchs singing background."
Monster, KISS' first album since their 2009 studio comeback Sonic Boom, is produced by Paul Stanley and Greg Collins; it's due October 16.
